Typically, when talking to older generations I am told that I will look back on this time in my life as the best however, I am often left hoping that this isn’t true and wondering if these are the best then I don’t want to see the worst.

In my work I attempt to convey these feelings by staging a series of atmospheric portraits asking the viewer to question and create narratives around vulnerability and authenticity.

The Best Days of Our Lives explores and documents the experiences of living that everyone goes through yet not many speak about.

This collection has been created as a way of questioning the validity of this commonly used phrase and through this series of cinematic images I wanted to explore our collective vulnerabilities in the hope of developing a narrative that examines what it is that strips us of that which has the potential to lead to less authentic life and the ability to see beyond our individual ostrasisational space.
