It’s not a wild statement to say that times have changed, and people are becoming more environmentally, and conservation minded, we’re looking at protecting what’s left and helping it repopulate for the future. But with this said is the growing demand caused by the ever-growing population out pacing attempts to protect the natural world.

These man altered landscapes of destruction are merely a precursor to what could be in are future, conservation efforts supported by the basic human need for nature pale in comparison for the our desire for stuff. The empty landscapes captured lie in the wake of conservation. And conservation lies in the wake of consumption and expansion 

These works focus on these forest locations posthumous and question whether these practices are more sustainable and less harmful to the environment to those documented by Robert Adams in “Turning Back”.
