Achievements
This series is dedicated to showing how the environment has had to adapt due to the effects of global trade. These land and seascapes intentionally focus on the small port and its surroundings, highlighting its important role in global trade. The small port has trade links spanning globally, creating a huge, logistical spider’s web.
I have used photography to try and capture a part of life that is hidden and often overlooked. My aim is to shine light on the increasing relevance of global trade in the modern world, especially with the ongoing pressures and uncertainties that Brexit is providing. The lack of conversation surrounding the environmental impact that trade has is unacceptable and is a side of being ‘environmentally conscious’ which is often ignored.
