In this collection of photographs entitled, The Best Days of Our Lives, I have focused on the ideas of isolation, loneliness, alienation and the detrimental effects of these feelings on the mental health of young people in today’s society. Through a series of intimate portraits I aspired to create a collection of particularly dark and oppressive images all alluding to this theme however, keeping enough anonymity in order to allow a sensitive onlooker to create their own narrative or perhaps be able to relate or attach themselves on an emotional level to what they are viewing. .
