Reflecting backwards to the past to show something that’s a repeat of the present, I use my practise to make reference to the idea that life in itself is a cycle. I specifically reference the 1918 Flu pandemic as a mirror to Covid 19, exploring the idea that our lives are purely a segment of the human experience. This is profound as it allows us to remember how experiences we go through may at first seem shocking, but in reality, these experiences have already happened and will continue to happen in the future. This collection acts a reminder that if we do not align our priorities with nature, our cycle of humanity may come to an end, just like many other cycles have terminated.
